Hannah + Paul are such a lovely couple and it was our pleasure to help out at their glorious Barn Wedding at Styal Lodge. We had a call from their original photographer the evening before, at around midnight with an SOS, she’d had a terrible accident and ended up in A&E. It’s wonderful that we have a network of photographers that are willing to step in when the going get’s tough. It wasn’t at all awkward even though we hadn’t met the couple before, from the moment we arrived for bridal prep it was all system go and everyone was so relaxed and friendly.
The ceremony was at St Georges in Poynton which is a beautiful Church, the whole place is light up with LED lights that you can have in any colour and it was purple which looks amazing on the photos. Even a little bit of drizzle didn’t stop Hannah from having the biggest smile on her face all day.
After the ceremony Hannah + Paul went to see Hannah’s Nanna who is in a nursing home just up the road, it was a lovely moment when Hannah walked in and her Nanna couldn’t hold back the tears as she looked so beautiful.

On arriving at Styal Lodge it was all dependent on the weather, the drizzle had started so it was a few quick group shots in the gardens then off to the Lake to spend 10 minutes with the couple getting some intimate shots of them together. On arrival back at the barn, it was time for a lovely meal by the talented Vanilla All Seasons and that Chicken was delicious.
The evening closed with Speeches and then a wonderful 1st dance which was Christina Perri A Thousand Years which is one of our favourites, this was played by the DJ. After a few dancefloor shots, it was time for us to head home. We are so glad we stepped in as this wedding was epic and one we will remember for a long time due to the circumstances of us being there. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and we hope you treasure the photos for years to come.
