As busy Cheshire wedding photographers, we always love returning to our favourite wedding venues in the county. So, we were delighted when Jehan and Jimmy’s summer wedding saw us returning to The Hidden Barn Knutsford.
The Hidden Barn Knutsford is a stunning 17th century grade II listed building with original oak beams and exclusive courtyard with an outdoor bar. This authentic barn wedding venue is brimming with rustic charm and sits hidden in the heart of the pretty market town of Knutsford in Cheshire. Hence the name!
Jehan and Jimmy couldn’t have chosen a more idyllic venue for their summer wedding in Cheshire.
On the day, we headed to nearby Cottons Hotel & Spa which was where Jehan and her bridal party were getting ready. The bridal party consisted of Jehan, her mum Jean, Jehan’s daughter Seraphina and maid of honour Becki.

Jehan looked amazing in beautiful lace detail dress with thin straps, a sweetheart neckline and an A-line shape skirt that gave her a fairytale silhouette in all of our images. Jehan bought the dress at Fairytale Brides Ltd in Manchester. Her make up was immaculate courtesy of make up artist Events by Jessica and her long hair was elegantly styled by a stylist from The Hair Artistry. Jehan’s look was complemented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in soft pastel hues that was created by Victoria’s Flowers who did all the flowers on the day.
Before the ceremony, we got the chance to catch up with Jimmy. He was at The Hidden Barn welcoming guests. Jimmy looked very smart in a grey pinstripe suit.
The wedding ceremony was lovely with the bridal procession starting with Jehan and Jimmy’s daughter Seraphina making a very sweet flowergirl. She was followed by Jehan who was walked down the aisle by her dad Omar. To live musical accompaniment from harpist Christine from The Harp Lady UK.

Storytelling wedding photography at The Hidden Barn Knutsford
There followed a really special wedding ceremony, where Jehan and Jimmy’s young son was the ringbearer. He performed his duties perfectly. At the end of the ceremony, Jehan and Jimmy walked back down the aisle a married couple to great applause from all of their guests.
Everybody then enjoyed a drinks reception outside in the pretty courtyard. And we took our chance to get some great group images of the wedding party alongside some candid images of everybody enjoying themselves.
With guests happily catered for, we whisked Jehan and Jimmy away for a few minutes for a romantic photoshoot around the pretty town of Knutsford. This is another reason why we love capturing wedding photography at The Hidden Barn. And that’s because its location makes it ideal for a photoshoot in Knutsford. We got some lovely images, including one of Jehan and Jimmy outside Jehan’s Dad’s shop Amador. Here, take a look!
The Hidden Barn looked amazing all dressed and ready for the wedding breakfast. Guests were seated first so that Jehan and Jimmy could receive a rapturous welcome from everybody. Speeches were before food which is always a good idea and were very well received.

Then everybody a delicious meal prepared by caterers Syriana, who’s delicious food went down a storm with everybody. There were also some delicious award-winning brownies from Sweet Tooth Bakery. After the meal, many guests spilled outside to the sunny courtyard.
Evening celebrations started with the cutting of a gorgeous white three-tiered wedding cake decorated with flowers. It was made by Cheshire Cakes by Kate. This was followed by a romantic first dance for Jehan and Jimmy. Not that these guys were on the dance floor alone for long. Their guests were really up for a party and DJ Pete was there to make sure they got one. And we got some really fun dance floor images. We love dance floors at weddings as weddings are one of the only occasions when multiple generations all dance together. And the images of Jehan, Jimmy and their loved ones all partying together were the perfect images to close the story of their lovely wedding day.
