We always enjoy meeting lovely couples like the Angela and Charles and we always enjoy being Heaton Park Family photographers. Angela and Charles were bought the family photoshoot as a present from a family member shortly after they had their twins Alice and Jack. I know that people struggle to know what to buy new parents so a gift that can be enjoyed later is both practical and thoughtful.
We love family photoshoots with babies. Babies develop and change so constantly in their first year that investing in a keep sake so you can remember exactly how they were in those first eighteen months is always a good idea.
Angela and Charles chose Heaton Park for their photoshoot which is great because it’s one of our favourite places too. Heaton Park boasts itself as the biggest and best park in the North West and as experienced Manchester photographers we have to say that we agree.
We met up with the McIntyre’s on a Saturday afternoon (the parks busiest time!) and with just 30 minutes to complete the shoot we set to it. Jumping straight in like this is great as it gives the shoot a natural energy and doesn’t give anyone the chance to overthink things or feel awkward.
Beautiful Family Photography at Heaton Park
We took a walk through some of Heaton Park’s pretty woodland and we got some lovely images of the four of them. Twins Alice and Jack were on good form and we got some really great images of them playing with mum and dad and some family portraits of them all sitting on a log. We especially loved the ones with Angela and Charles sharing a quick kiss. Here, take a look!
We always prefer a natural unposed look of a family just enjoying spending time together. We find that engaging babies with play with their parents relaxes them, this in turn relaxes their parents and allow us to get authentic images that really capture the personalities and essence of the families we work with.
Angela and Charles were real pro’s and totally relaxed into it making it feel like we were capturing a young family out for a Sunday walk. I was slightly in awe of Angela and Charles for looking so laidback and natural whilst dealing with twin babies.
Of course, the location helped because we were always provided with perfect backdrops in all of our images which is why we’re always thrilled when we’re booked to be Heaton Park family photographers.

We had a lovely time with the McIntyre family and managed to get some really beautiful images in both colour and black and white that we know Angela and Charles are thrilled with. Images that they can treasure and then one day pass on to Alice and Jack.
