One of the many reasons why we love being Greater Manchester wedding photographers is getting to meet lovely couples like Felicity and Stephen and getting to work at some gorgeous greater Manchester wedding venues.

And this was certainly the case when the capture Felicity and Stephen’s gorgeous wedding at Albert’s Standish. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. We’ll get back to all the reasons why we love shooting wedding photography at Albert’s Standish in a minute. Let’s start at the beginning of Felicity and Stephens wedding.

Felicity and Stephen chose a church wedding at the handsome St Aidan’s church in the village of Billinge. And we were on hand to capture excited guests as they arrived. Due to Covid restrictions the ceremony could only host 30 people so many guests waited outside. Thankfully St Aidan’s has large grounds so there was plenty of space for guests to excitedly mingle. We caught up with Stephen who was with his groom’s party. He was in good spirits and was looking very smart in a 3-piece suit.

Felicity arrived in a gorgeous white Rolls Royce Ghost wedding car (provided by Cupid Carriages) with her father and bridesmaids. Felicity looked amazing in her dress that she bought at Romancia bridal boutique in Wigan. It had beautiful intricate lace detail especially on the back and a fishtail cut that really suited her petite frame, giving her a perfect silhouette in all of our images.

There was a wonderful surprise awaiting horse-loving Felicity when she arrived at St Aidan’s. Two women from her local yard dressed up two horses and brought them to the church as a surprise. Felicity was delighted and made Stephen and the wedding wait whilst she greeted her surprise guests. It was a really lovely moment and we captured some gorgeous images. Here take a look!

Albert’s Standish Wonderful Wedding Space

Now we want to mention the bridesmaid’s dresses as they were gorgeous, powder blue halter neck dresses that the girls must have been thrilled with. Flowers on the day were very elegant and simple with a plain white bouquet with green foliage provided by the clever people at Brambles Florist.

The ceremony was lovely and a joy to photograph. Many churches can be a little dark, whereas St Aidan’s is abundant with natural light through its many stained-glass windows (we Greater Manchester wedding photographers are always grateful for any additional natural light that we play with to create beautiful images)

After a beautiful wedding ceremony everybody headed outside and there was a lovely confetti moment that we captured. It rained a lot on the day though there was a break in the rain at this point so we were able to get some great images outside the church.

Everybody then headed to Albert’s Standish for the wedding reception with Felicity and Stephen traveling in that gorgeous white Rolls Royce.

Now we get to talk about why we always love shooting wedding photography at Albert’s Standish. This beautiful and stylish wedding venue has light adorned rooms with private terraces to explore and enjoy the outside space. It was the perfect location for this glamorous young couple to celebrate their union.

Creative wedding photography at Albert’s Standish

On arrival everybody enjoyed a drinks reception and we took the chance to capture the venue all dressed and ready for the celebration. It looked amazing. The team at ‘I Do Events’ in Liverpool had made it look magical.

Whilst everybody enjoyed drinks and mingling, there was music by famous saxophonist Hannah Corcoran. And since the weather was dry and everybody was in high spirits we jumped at the chance to get some amazing portrait and group images of the wedding party at this gorgeous venue.

After a delicious meal (those pie’s looking delicious by the way) evening celebrations started with the cutting of a beautiful four tier wedding cake made by the clever people at Mrs Lyons Cakery in Standish.

After the meal, the weather cleared again so guests were able to spill outside the enjoy the private terrace and lawn and we captured more candid images of Felicity, Stephen and their guests. The group shots of the boys were fun. Here, take a look

Evening entertainment was on hand in the form of a DJ Kelvin provided by DPM Events who made sure the dancefloor filled quickly and stayed busy all night. And Felicity, Stephen and their guests were certainly up for a party.
