A Magical Cheshire Wedding

The sun shone all day for Emma and Ben’s country house wedding at Carden Park Hotel and it was lovely to catch up with these guys again having done their engagement shoot last year.

On the day, we got there early so we could capture some images of Emma getting ready. She was in good spirits and safe hands with her bridal party that consisted of Emma, her mum Marie, Ben’s mum Wendy, maid of honour Sarah and bridesmaids Sophia and Danielle along with Make-up artist Kirstie and hairstylist Carol.

Because there’s two of us, we’re able to literally be in two places at the same time so were able to capture some images of Ben who was getting ready in another room with his best man. Ben looked very smart in his blue tails suit with a white tie, with his grooms’ party wearing tails and baby blue ties.

Emma looked amazing in her lace detail dress with a pretty neckline and a cut that really suited her petite frame. Coupled with a full-length veil at the back it gave Emma a gorgeous silhouette in all of our images. Bridesmaids wore pretty full-length dresses in baby blue. Before leaving for the ceremony, we captured a lovely father seeing the bride moment.

A beautiful church wedding in the village of Tattenhall

The wedding ceremony was held at nearby St Alban’s church in the pretty Cheshire village of Tattenhall, with Emma and her dad travelling there in style in a gorgeous vintage wedding car. St Alban’s is a handsome Grade II listed church with an active community. Inside it was surprisingly light and ornate giving us a lovely backdrop in our images of Emma and Ben’s ceremony.

Straight after the ceremony, there was a gorgeous and fun confetti moment outside, and the chance for a couple of portrait images on the church’s timber-clad porch, before everybody headed to Carden Park Hotel for the reception.

On arrival, guests enjoyed reception drinks and we took our chance to get some more portrait images of Emma and Ben around the grounds of Carden Park, as well as some great images of the wedding party.

The wedding reception was held in Carden Park’s newly refurbished Shooting Suite and Emma and Ben were rapturously welcomed by their guests. The speeches at the wedding were cleverly spaced out between the courses and as they were emotional and funny it gave guests a chance to enjoy each one and recover before the next.

The Shooting Suite had been dressed exquisitely for the wedding breakfast with white linen and pretty flower arrangements by Alice of Delamere Flower Farm.

Evening celebrations started with the cutting of an elegant white three-tiered wedding cake and then a romantic first dance. It didn’t take long for the dance floor to fill up as Emma and Ben’s guests were definitely up for a party. We braved the dancefloor to get some fun images of some serious shape cutting!
