It was a cold but bright sunny day for Emma and Ben’s winter wedding in Formby. On the day we got there early and caught up with Emma who was getting ready at her parents’ house. Emma, Ben and their gorgeous baby son Oscar live and work in Dubai, so had returned home for their wedding.
Everybody at the house was in high spirits. There was Emma, her mum Sally, dad Alan, son/very handsome page boy Oscar, her maid of honour and Poppy the gorgeous 1 year old flower girl. The very talented Faye McCann was also there taking care of Emma’s make up.
Emma looked amazing, we loved her dress. It was knee length with a veil and she wore it with an elegant shrug. Emma had a look of vintage glamour that worked so perfectly for a winter wedding. Her maid of honour wore a gorgeous green velvet dress that perfectly co-ordinated with the green and white colour scheme of the wedding.
The wedding ceremony was held at St Peter’s Church in Formby and Emma travelled there is style in a gorgeous 1930’s style vintage car.

Emma was walked down the aisle by her dad Alan, the wedding ceremony was conducted by Vicar Anne and was beautiful. It included some lovely readings. Afterwards, everybody greeted Emma, Ben and baby Oscar outside the church for a fun confetti moment that produced some of our favourite images of the day. Here, take a look!
As it was a bright day, we took more group images in front of the Church’s attractive porch entrance and some lovely candid shots of guests just milling about and chatting. Then everybody headed back to Emma’s parents house for a drinks and canapes reception.
On the way we quickly whisked Emma and Ben to nearby Pine Woods for a mini photoshoot to capture some romantic portrait images. Emma and Ben were lovely to work with and we got some really great images. Here, take a look!
We then headed to Emma’s parents’ house to re-join the party. Sally and Alan’s lovely large open plan house was perfect for a reception and there were delicious canapes served by the talented people at Divine Catering. Before heading out to the wedding breakfast, Emma and Ben cut their wedding cake (a delicious looking three-tiered naked cake!)

The wedding breakfast was held at The Art School Restaurant in Liverpool and Emma and Ben travelled there is style in that gorgeous vintage car. On arrival, we got some lovely fun portrait images of the two of them at outside the restaurant.
The wedding breakfast was hosted in one of The Art School Restaurants stylish and tastefully decorated function rooms. We always love the little touches at weddings as it shows us something of our couple’s personalities. At Emma and Ben’s wedding we loved the tables named after places Emma and Ben have enjoyed visiting and living in, they made a lovely addition.
Emma and Ben were welcomed to their seats by their guests with rapturous applause and with everybody seated it was time for us to take our leave.
