Cheshire Wedding Photographer – getting to photograph at Heaton House Farm
Heaton House Farm wedding photography is always a joy to photoshoot. Sam and Aaron chose this stunning wedding venue that is nestled on the hillside of a working farm with views across the mesmerising Cheshire and Staffordshire countryside. But we’ll get back to all the reasons why we love shooting Heaton House Farm wedding photography in a minute. Let’s start at the beginning of Sam and Aaron’s day.
Firstly, we caught up with Sam who was getting ready at Heaton House Farm with her bridal party that consisted of her, her mum Sandra, Aaron’s mum Julie, bridesmaid Meghan, junior bridesmaid Evie and flower girls Emilie and Ella. Everybody was in high spirits and gorgeous personalised robes (and slippers, and gift bags!) Also in attendance was make-up artist and hair stylist Faye Kenyon.
We also caught up with Aaron who was also getting ready in one of Heaton House Farm’s gorgeous rooms with his groom’s party. The grooms party consisted of Aaron, his dad Mark, Sam’s dad Sean, Aaron’s brother Oliver and best man Liam. Loved the personalised cufflinks and socks boys! We also captured the moment Aaron opened a gift from Sam of a lovely engraved pocket watch.
Sam looked amazing in her gorgeous lace detail dress that had a gorgeous sweetheart neckline and low scooped back, with a ballroom shape skirt that coupled with a pretty full-length veil gave Sam a fairy tale bride silhouette in all of our images. Before leaving to go to the ceremony we got some gorgeous bridal images of Sam.

Sam and Aaron chose an outdoor ceremony under Heaton House Farm’s pretty rustic oak pagoda. With stunning countryside views and their family and friends all seated beside them on the paved terrace, it makes a truly beautiful setting for an outdoor ceremony. When I shoot wedding photography at Heaton House Farm, I always love photographing outdoor ceremonies as the gentle breeze adds life and movement to my images.
After a beautiful ceremony there was the most amazing confetti moment that we captured creating some of my favourite images of the day. Here take a look!
Then everybody enjoyed an elegant drinks and canapes reception on the lawn and terrace and we took our chance to capture some great images of the wedding party. There was a bouncy castle, and lawn games for the young, and not so young, and some guests wasted no time acquainting themselves with the fun birdie campervan photobooth (who doesn’t love a photobooth!)
With everybody relaxing and having fun we took the chance to get lots of candid images of everybody enjoying themselves.
Whilst guests happily mingled, we quickly whisked Sam and Aaron away for a few minutes for a mini photoshoot around the beautiful gardens and grounds of Heaton House and we captured some really romantic portrait images. Here, take a look!

We also captured some gorgeous candid images of guests relaxing and mingling and snuck into the Steeles Barn to photograph the wedding reception all dressed and ready to go, it looked amazing. Venue dressers perfect venue, had dressed the space beautifully.
Now we love the details at weddings as it tells us something of our couples ‘personalities. At Sam and Aaron’s wedding it was the table of memories and photographs of loved ones lost. It’s always lovely when couples find a way to include their loved ones in their wedding days.
The wedding reception started by Sam and Aaron being rapturously received by their guests before everybody enjoyed a sumptuous wedding breakfast provided by Stable Yard Caterers. After which there were some very well received speeches and a wonderful surprise for everybody as Sam and Aaron had hired the Silver Service Singers who delighted everybody with their singing.
Now we must mention to the cake, it was stunning and the clever creation of the team at For Goodness Cakes. A naked three-tiered cake displayed in a floral hoop with five figurines on representing Sam, Aaron and their three gorgeous children.
Creative wedding photography at Heaton House Farm
After all the excitement many guests then headed back outside to soak up the last of the sunshine and we took our chance to capture more images including some romantic sunset images of Sam and Aaron.
The evening celebrations were held in Heaton House Farm’s magical wedding barn, that had been dressed beautifully under a rainbow of coloured drapes and fairy lights. Things kicked off with Sam and Aaron enjoying a romantic first dance and these guys were definitely up for a party.
True to form, Sam and Aaron had thought of everything to entertain their guests. There was a casino, an Italian ice cream cart, and with the photobooth and the bouncy castle still going strong there really was something for everybody at this epic wedding party.
It wasn’t long before the dancefloor was full where many remained for the rest of the night.
Sam and Aaron’s wedding was full-on family friendly fun all day. We imagine their guests are still talking about it! Congratulations to Sam and Aaron for creating an amazing wedding day. We hope our images will enable you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
