Yay! Weddings are back and we were thrilled to photograph Victoria and Richard’s wedding at Mere Court Hotel in Knutsford. But we’ll get back to why we like shooting wedding photography at The Mere Court Hotel in Knutsford later. Let’s start at the beginning of Victoria and Richard’s day.

On the day we got to Victoria’s parents (Darren and Denise’s) house in Hyde, where the bridal party were getting ready for the day. We caught up with Victoria who was in good spirits and safe hands with her parents and her sister/bridesmaid Catherine on hand to help her with any final preparations.

Victoria looked stunning in her dress, the ballgown shape and shoulder sweeping neckline coupled with her long-curled cascading hair made her look like a Disney Princess. So, we weren’t surprised to learn she’d bought it at a wedding boutique called ‘Once Upon A Bride’. It was breath-taking how amazing Victoria looked. Catherine also looked lovely and wore a gorgeous pale blue bridesmaid’s dress that complimented Victoria’s look perfectly.

Now I don’t want to miss the boys out. The grooms party consisted of Richard, his Dad Michael, his mum Janet and his twin brother/best man Andrew. The boys wore very smart tails suits in striking petrol blue colour.

The wedding ceremony was held at St Lawrence Church in nearby Denton. St Lawrence’s is a distinctive Grade II listed timber framed church, one of only 29 surviving timber framed churches and chapels in England. Inside it was really ornate giving us such a beautiful backdrop when photographing Victoria and Richard’s wedding ceremony.

After a lovely ceremony there was a confetti moment outside the church before everybody headed to Mere Court Hotel in Knutsford for the wedding reception. Victoria and Richard travelling in a luxurious vintage wedding car.

We loved the flowers at Victoria and Richard’s wedding. The bouquets, church flowers and table dressing flowers were all the clever creation of the award-winning team at Laurel Weddings.

We always love returning to shoot wedding photography at The Mere Hotel in Knutsford because the team there are so professional and friendly that you always know you’re in safe hands. We also want to mention the cake, it was made by Lesley Walters at Lesley Walters Cake design, and was gorgeous and original in its style.

On arrival everybody enjoyed a drinks reception and we took the chance to quickly whisk Victoria and Richard away for a mini photoshoot around the grounds and gardens of Mere Court. Now the weather on the day was sunny with rainy spells but we got lucky at that point and were blessed with some sunshine. Victoria and Richard were lovely to work with and we got some gorgeous romantic images of them that we know they are thrilled with. Here take a look!

We then re-joined Victoria and Richard’s guests and they were rapturously received for their wedding reception. Speeches were next and they were delivered by Richard, by Victoria’s Dad Darren and by bestman/Richard’s twin brother Andrew, they were heartfelt and funny which meant one way or another there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
