Why we Love Mere Golf Resort
Being award winning Cheshire wedding photographers’ means that we’re lucky enough to frequently be Mere Golf Resort wedding photographers as well and every time we return to this fantastic venue we have the best time! Sophie and James’ wedding day was absolutely lovely and a joy to shoot. The team at Mere Golf Resort really know what they’re doing. We must give a particular shout out to their Conference and Banqueting Manager Zoe Nicole Wesson who ensured the day ran smoothly from beginning to end.
Effortless Glamour
On the day we arrived early to get some images of Sophie as she made her bridal preparations. She was in safe hands and high spirits with her bridal party on hand (quite literally!) to help her get ready. They consisted of her sister Katie, her mum Ruth and bridesmaids Stacey and Emily.
Sophie looked absolutely amazing in her beautiful wedding dress (that she bought at Confetti Box in Manchester). It had gorgeous lace detailing and gave Sophie a perfect silhouette in all of our images of her. Sophie’s hair had been done by Salon Girl Code in a pretty up-do creating an overall look of effortless glamour. This was greatly assisted by the fact that Sophie absolutely beamed all day. (Smiley brides are an absolutely favourite with Cheshire wedding photographers!)
The Wind + Rain
We then quickly had time to catch up with James before the ceremony who was with his dad Nigel and best man Adam to get a few images of them too.
Weather on the day was changeable, it was windy with some rain and some sunny spells, so we did manage to get a few shots outside. It was worth it as we got a fantastic romantic image of the two of them that was amongst our favourites of the day. Here take a look!
Sophie and James’ wedding ceremony was held in Mere Golf Resorts Mere Suite. The room was beautiful dressed with flowers by Springbank Flowers and it was perfectly lit for a romantic wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony there was a drinks reception and we got the chance to take some lovely informal and fun shots of Sophie, James and their guests enjoying a drinks reception in the bar before everybody enjoyed a sumptuous wedding breakfast. Now we must mention the wedding cake. It looked amazing and was the creation of those clever people at Flissy Cakes.
A Lovely, Stylish, Fun and Laid Back Wedding
Entertainment on the day was provided by the Northern String Quartet and evening entertainment was provided by DJ James Smith who made sure the party started and kept going for hours.
