Midland Hotel Wedding Photographer

Midland Hotel Wedding Photographer with Emma + Damien, the day always starts off with Bridal Prep and we were super excited about this wedding as we knew the family from their last celebration, it’s great to be booked by a couple on a recommendation.  It was a little bit drizzly when we arrived for the preparations but that never stops the smiles and good time everyone was having.

We arrived in the morning at Emma’s mums for the bridal preparations and Damien was getting ready at their house just up the road, once we’d spent some time with Emma we headed off to shoot a few shots of Damien and his parents.  When the car arrived which Damien had organised it had the name Emma on the side which we thought was a lovely touch.

The drizzle unfortunately didn’t stop so on preparation to the church everyone had umbrella’s at the ready.  The church was stunning inside with lovely light, however we were limited on the locations we could shoot from, some churches do have rules on where photographers can stand so that was a challenge.  The ceremony ended with a Mass and the shaking of hands so that was something slightly different that we are used to seeing.

On arriving at The Midland Hotel Wedding Photographer we were welcomed by the wedding party and the arrival of the vintage car that the couple chose to fit the theme of their wedding.  A crowd started to gather on the arrival of the couple and confetti was at the ready for that natural shots couples love and just as the couple arrived the rain stopped.

We don’t like to rush couples so we made sure Emma & Damien had enough time with their guests and took them out for some portrait shots after they had the meal as it was important to them that we weren’t to take up their whole day with photos.  The city centre really is a wonderful place to photograph a wedding and Emma & Damien wanted something really natural so we had them walking around for a few minutes just to capture some natural moments together.

During the speeches Emma received a bespoke Manchester City Shirt which she was thrilled to bits with and it was even signed, but we’re reds so we needed bribing to take a photo of it.  After the speeches it was time to get ready for the party, which they certainly did, the dancefloor was packed all night.

We wish this amazing couple all the best, it was a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful day.
