Rivington Barn Wedding
Rivington Hall Barn wedding photography is always a joy to shoot. This Grade II listed Saxon building has a wealth of original features and is situated in a picturesque location surrounded by fields and woodland. The perfect backdrop for capturing Kimberley and Andrew’s day.
On the day we arrived early and caught up with Kimberley and her bridal party as she was getting ready. The bridal party was enormous with Kimberley’s mum Liz, her sister in law Lindsay, Andrew’s mum Kathy, and then Kimberley’s bridesmaids Ashleigh, Milly, Megan, Poppy, Olivia, Emma, Brooklyn and flower girl Eleanor. We loved all of the dresses, the colours worked so perfectly.
Kimberley looked amazing in her dress. She had a gorgeous look of effortless glamour. Like old school Hollywood glamour.
The day started pretty rainy but thankfully cleared up in the afternoon. Not that anybody seemed bothered, everybody was in good spirits. We managed to capture a lovely moment when Kimberley’s dad Craig saw her in her dress. Here take a look!
As we mentioned the bridal party we’d better mention the grooms as well! Andrew’s grooms’ party consisted of his dad Neil, his brother Chris, Kimberley’s dad Craig, Kimberley’s stepdad Mick, best man Anthony, and Andrew’s friend Mark. And the very handsome Jack.
The ceremony was held in the barn that had been decorated beautifully. Afterwards, as the weather was clearing Kimberley, Andrew and their guests were able to enjoy a drinks reception on the terrace and as guests happily mingled we got the chance to quickly whisk Kimberley and Andrew away for some romantic portrait shots of them set around the grounds of Rivington Hall Barn. There was also a chance to get some great images of the wedding party.
Kimberly, Andrew and all of their guests enjoyed a sumptuous wedding breakfast prepared by Rivington Hall Barn’s amazing chefs. During the speeches they had the amazing Howard Wing entertain everyone. Having entertainment during your meal really does set the party tone for the rest of the day and keeps the energy going. After the party it was time for speeches. Now as busy Lancashire wedding photographers we’ve seen a few wedding speeches in our time. But these ones were great. Andrew, Kimberley’s dad Craig and best man Anthony really got the party started with their speeches.
Evening celebrations started with the cutting of the most amazing wedding cake. It was a naked cake (we love these!) and had four tiers of sponge packed with cream and fresh berries. It looked so delicious!, thanks to Finch Bakery who we’ve tagged in at the end of this blog.
The first dance was so romantic as the DJ, the confetti canons which went over during the 1st dance looked amazing on their photos. It wasn’t long before Kimberley and Andrew were joined on the dancefloor by their loved ones and the partying really started. Kimberley & Andrew really wanted a live band for their wedding and who better to book than Jo’s brother Martin Connor who put together an amazing 8 piece band for the wedding.
A fantastically elegant wedding full of love and laughter at this amazing wedding venue. Congratulations to Kimberley and Andrew for getting married and creating an amazing day for yourselves and your family and friends to remember.
