An Outdoor Wedding at West Carlton Country House

We were so excited to shoot Natalie & Asa’s big day, we’ve known Asa personally for a number of years and were honoured to shoot his big day.   The venue they chose was West Carlton House, Hull which was built in the 1720’s, it’s an impressive Georgian Manor House in acres of beautiful countryside with lovely landscape gardens.

Natalie & Asa were lucky enough to have the weather on their side so the ceremony was held in their outside ceremony space.  Tim & Caroline who own the venue were so accommodating, nothing was touch much trouble, they have done an amazing job of lovingly restoring what was previously the farmhouse on a 300acre farm into the House you see today.

The Secret Ceremony

As the ceremony was outdoors the legal part of the wedding ceremony took place in the house in secret, just a few members of their family were present.  Once the legalities were complete the couple returned to the congregation to exchange their own personal vows, exchange rings and that very 1st kiss so plenty of action for us to photograph.

A Marquee, Sunset and Cornfields

We love a country outdoor wedding and West Carlton House has everything, it’s slap bang in the middle of farm land so the cornfields are easily accessible and the amazing natural warm light that shines over the area in the early evening is magical.  One of the best golden hour locations we’ve come across so a photographers dream location.

A Good Hull Pie

It’s wonderful when couples want something a little different and Natalie & Asa choose to hire the Hull Pie’s to cater for their guests, the menu was Pie, Mash, Mushy Peas & Gravy.  A huge thanks to the groomsmen who took all the food out to their guests and served all the tables, they did a top job of getting out all the pies.

ITV’s Benidorm to Aldbrough

Asa is most famous for his role in Benidorm on ITV and has been a singer since he could talk so performing at his own wedding was a no brainer.  Thanks to Anthony from Hit The Floor DJ Services who hosted the day and DJ’d the evening.  Asa performed about 25mins for his guests and he absolutely rocked the marquee, everyone was singing, dancing really enjoying every minute of the show and his beautiful bride Natalie had the biggest smile ever, way to cute.
