Poynton Pool Family Photographer – The Butler Family

In early September we met up with The Butler family for a fun family photoshoot at Poynton Pool in Cheshire. We first met Tim & Fran when we shot their wedding back in the summer of 2014 at Packington Moor Farm in Lichfield. So, it was lovely to catch up with them again and to meet their baby son Finn.

We do love seeing our couples again especially when there are new family members to meet and as Finn is a toddler it was the perfect time for a family photoshoot. Pre-school age children develop so quickly in the first few years so it’s always a good idea to take the time to invest in creating a keepsake.

Fran and Tim chose Poynton Pool as a location as it’s a place near their home where they are fond of taking walks. It’s beautiful lake, ancient trees and wildlife made it the perfect location for a natural family photoshoot. We followed the circular walk between the lake and the trees stopping at points of interest and of course for play with Finn. It just felt like we were capturing a young family out for a Sunday walk. It was so laid back and natural. That’s what the right location can do and it’s why we’re always thrilled when we get book to be Poynton Pool family photographers.

Beautiful Family Photography at Poynton Pool

We always prefer a natural unposed look of a family just enjoying spending time together. We find that engaging children and babies with play with their parents relaxes them, this in turn relaxes their parents and allow us to get authentic images that really capture the personalities and essence of the families we work with.

Finn had a great time. There was a shoulder ride from daddy, being swung in the air by mummy and daddy and the all-important finding a stick. We loved the images of Finn running between Fran and Tim and the close ups of him through the park bench. We also liked paparazzi style images we took through the trees of the three of them playing by the lake. Here, take a look!

Creative and Natural Poynton Pool Family Photographer

We had a lovely time with the Butler family and managed to get some really beautiful images in both colour and black and white that we know Fran and Tim are thrilled with. Images that they can treasure and then one day pass on to baby Finn.
