How to get the best out of your Engagement Photoshoot
Meeting lovely couples and working at fantastic locations is what being Manchester wedding photographers is all about so we loved doing Natalie and Stephen’s gorgeous Heaton Park engagement photoshoot.
Engagement shoots are so much fun and it’s always great to capture the excitement and anticipation in couples as they enter into a life together. As experienced Manchester wedding photographers we have photographed at the beautiful Heaton Park countless times but it was fun to really explore this amazing location and use a different space in the park. We hadn’t come across the train tracks before so we made use of them in our images.
Stephen loves trees (particularly climbing them!) so the beautiful fallen one made for a natural seated spot and was the perfect place for some romantic shots.
Now Natalie won’t mind us saying that she was quite nervous about the shoot so it was great to do the engagement shoot so that she could get used to being photographed by us before the big day. As you can see from the images Natalie quickly relaxed into the shoot and we got some fantastic images.
Feeling comfortable in front of the camera
Natalie’s not alone in feeling anxious in front of a camera. When we first meet our clients they often say that they feel uncomfortable being photographed, that they are un-photogenic or that they never like pictures of themselves. An engagement shoot is an opportunity to fix all of these worries. So that it won’t be an issue on your wedding day. It’s a chance for you to get used to us photographing you and if you need it we can give you tips to help you to be more comfortable in front of the camera.
It was a fun day and we’re sure you’ll agree we produced some beautiful, authentic and timeless images.
How to use your Engagement Photos
Many of our previous engagement shoot clients have gone on to use their engagement photoshoot images in their wedding stationery like invitations, guest books and thank you cards.
What the couple thought of their Engagement Photoshoot
Anyway, that’s enough from us about this Heaton Park engagement photoshoot. We’ll leave the last words to Natalie and Stephen. Here’s what they had to say about working with us.
“It was great seeing you both again. Thank you so much for this morning, we both really enjoyed it. We thank you for being as patient as you both were and your ability to settle us down and relax us. Natalie, although uncomfortable at times being in front of the camera wishes to tell you how wonderful she felt you both were with her.
We will happily show you our faves and chat about our ideas when we next meet up if that helps. Once again we just want to offer our thanks for today and the comfort in which you made the experience. Can’t wait for the official day now!!!”
