Perks of the job: Getting to capture Nunsmere Hall Wedding Photography
Abby and Guido chose the perfect venue for their late summer wedding in Cheshire. Award winning Nunsmere Hall is a beautiful Edwardian house bult in 1900 and set in the tranquil oasis that is the Delamere Forest. Its stunning forest location is framed by a 60-acre lake that combined with the beautiful architecture and award-winning gardens give us an endless supply of beautiful backdrops in our images when we shoot wedding photography at Nunsmere Hall.
And it’s not just the exterior that impresses. Its sumptuous interiors effortlessly blend traditional with modern comfort creating a charming, elegant and timeless vibe perfect for a wedding.
On the day we got there early so we could catch up with Abby who was getting ready in Nunsmere Hall’s beautiful bridal suite. Her bridal party (it felt more like an army!) were her, her mum Debbie, Guido’s mum Angelika, maids of honour Holly and Amy, bridesmaids Kirsty and Ellie and flower girls Maddie, Judith and Lea. The atmosphere was great with everybody clearly excited for the day ahead.
Abby was in the capable hands of hair stylist Vicky Millington and make-up artist ia Barrea.

There being two of us means we can be in two places at the same time so we were to capture Guido and his grooms party arrived. The Grooms party consisted of Guido, his dad Werner, his best man Leander along with page boys Elias, Sam and Finlay.
Abby looked stunning in a beautifully soft low back figure skimming dress with elegant lace detail that really suited her slim frame and gave the most perfect silhouette in all of our images of her.
The wedding ceremony was held in Nunsmere Hall’s Crystal Suite and Abby and her mum made an elegant entrance via the majestic staircase and arrived to live musical accompaniment Jam Duo. The Crystal Suite has a beautiful carved chandeliered ceiling, oak floors, walls adorned with fine art and antique mirrors and impressive ceiling to floor windows with views across the stunning manicured gardens.
After a lovely wedding ceremony everybody enjoyed an elegant drinks reception in Nunsmere Hall’s beautiful gardens. The weather on the day was generally sunny with a few light showers but was dry at all the right time. As guests happily mingled and enjoyed themselves, we took our chance to get some great images in the gardens of the wedding party as well as some candid images of Abby and Guido’s guests soaking up their surroundings.
And with guests entertained we were able to whisk Abby and Guido away for a for a few minutes for a mini photoshoot around the stunning grounds of Nunsmere Hall. It was one of our favourite parts of the day and resulted in some images that we know Abby and Guido are thrilled with. Here, take a look!
Creative and natural wedding photography at Nunsmere Hall
Abby and Guido’s wedding reception was held in Nunsmere Hall’s new luxury marquee. Nestled amongst their exquisite gardens with breath-taking views of the surrounding 60-acre lake, it really is a magical setting for a wedding celebration. A beautiful starlit ceiling, bespoke mood lighting and a dancefloor and private bar ensured Abby, Guido and their guests had everything they needed for an epic wedding celebration.
After a lovely wedding breakfast and some very well received speeches, guests were left to explore this beautiful venue, and with the sun holding out many headed back outside into the gardens, whilst others headed for Nunsmere Hall’s atmospheric wood panelled bar. Giving us so many opportunities to capture candid images of everybody enjoying themselves.
Meanwhile the marquee was being transformed ready for the evening celebrations so this seems like the perfect time to mention the venue dresser and florist Julie Potter from The White Room who ensured that the wedding was decorated exquisitely.
Evening celebrations started with the cutting of the most elegant three-tiered naked white wedding cake that was made by Sweetest Thing Bakery. This was followed by a romantic first dance for Abby and Guido.
They weren’t alone on the dancefloor for long. Abby and Guido’s guests were really up for a party and DJ Jeff Dallas was on hand to make sure they got one.
A gorgeous family friendly wedding full of love and laughter at a stunning Cheshire wedding venue. Congratulation to Abby and Guido for getting married and thank you for allowing us to tell the story of it. We loved it!
