We cannot tell you the joy we feel at getting back to shooting wedding photography in Yorkshire. Eve and Adam’s gorgeous summer wedding at The Woodman Inn Hotel in Huddersfield was amazing.

These guys chose the perfect location. The Woodman Inn is an 18th century inn that has been luxuriously refurbished. It is set in a pretty woodland setting in the foothills of the South Pennines. Giving us so many stunning backdrops both inside and out, for beautiful wedding photographs.

On the day we got there early so we could capture some images of Eve as she got ready. She was in high spirits and safe hands with her bridal part who consisted of her mum Jan and bridesmaids Faye and Eleanor. Along with make-up artist Jessica Goodall and hair stylist Amy Ward. There were co-ordinated pyjamas and a bit of bubbly on hand so the celebrations had definitely started early for the girls.

We also got the chance to catch up with Adam before the ceremony who was getting ready with his dad Phil and his best man Ruairi. He took a break to open a pre-wedding ceremony present from Eve and we captured the moment. That’s what’s great about their being two of us. We can be in two places at the same time.

Eve looked stunning in her wedding dress that she bought at Louise Perry Bridal. It had a gorgeous shape to it giving her a real old-fashioned glamour with a gorgeous train at the back adding some drama. The dress really suited Eve as she looked so comfortable as a bride.

We then captured some gorgeous images of Eve and Adam’s guests excitedly waiting and mingling downstairs. It was so amazing to be around that buzz of anticipation again after such a difficult time for the wedding industry. It’s what we Yorkshire wedding photographers live for!

After a lovely ceremony with some heartfelt readings everybody headed outside for a drinks reception and we got some lovely image of everybody happily mingling and chatting as well as some group images of the wedding party in the Woodman Inn’s pretty gardens set against the woodland backdrop. The confetti moments were fun. Here take a look!

The Woodland Inn’s main reception room was dressed so prettily for the wedding reception with tables adorned with flowers in white, green and blush, and candles and tealights. It looked so elegant. Eve and Adam entered their wedding reception to rapturous applause from their guests as everybody sat down to enjoy some funny and heartfelt speeches. There was also a film of guests who couldn’t attend which was a really lovely touch that went down so well with everybody.

Natural and creative wedding photography in Yorkshire

After everybody had enjoyed the wedding meal, we quickly whisked Eve and Adam outside for a mini photoshoot around the grounds of The Woodman Inn. The early evening sunshine giving us the most perfect light for some really romantic images. Here take a look!

As the weather was pleasant, the wedding cake (which looked exquisite) was cut outside, this was followed by their first dance in front of the Mr & Mrs Dores sign. It’s funny how the limitations around the pandemic make us think creatively. We loved the first dance being outside next to the large Mr. and Mrs Dores sign and it’s something that wouldn’t happened without the Covid restrictions in place.

This is the point where the celebrations really kicked in. There was more dancing, some lawn games, some seriously tasty food, sparklers and smoke canons. Eve and Adam’s family and friends were really up for a party and the helpful staff at The Woodman Inn made sure they got one!
