Wyreside Hall Wedding Photographer
The new Wyreside Hall Wedding Venue in the heart of Lancaster is a beautiful 17th Century Manor house that has been lovingly restored, it isn’t officially open until all the works are complete so we were lucky enough to be one of the 1st photography teams to shoot a wedding at this luxurious wedding venue. When it’s complete it will definitely be the go to venue for lots of Lancashire couples.
The Luxury Cottages
The morning started at the luxury cottages next door to the Manor House where Sara and her bridesmaids were getting pampered. The girls enjoyed the light and spacious cottage with all the amenities you could want, a home from home and ideal for large wedding parties. The boys arrived at their cottage just next door for their preparations, again it was spacious so ideal for wedding parties.
The Hand Holding Ceremony
It would have been lovely for the photos for Sara to walk from the Cottages to the Manor House but the good old British weather had other ideas, it was a total washout. Knowing the forecast would clear up later in the day Sara took it in her stride and headed the short trip next door by car.
The ceremony is what it’s all about seeing Sara walk down the aisle with her mum was lovely, then during the hand holding reading, there were a few tears which make the day so much more personal. These little touches are what we love the most about weddings.
Group Photos
As the weather wasn’t clearing up until after dinner we decided to use the dancehall for group shots, this was a lovely light space that had been set up for the evening, the venue owners kindly shuffled around some furniture to make room for the photos. It was a lovely light room which worked well for photos should the bad weather kick in.
Cartoon Faces & Ibiza Classics
After dinner we headed off into the bar area where Sara + Scott had booked a caricaturist for their guests, everyone took full advantage and the guy was swamped with guests wanting their’s drawn. Seeing him in action really was something special.
After dinner and before the evening reception starts can be the part of the wedding where there tends to be a dip in the atmosphere, everyone is stuffed from dinner and drank most of the day so tiredness can set in.
Sara + Scott had booked James Bell who played Sax during their wedding ceremony, during the meal, and during the drinks reception. It was a lot more toned down in the daytime but during the drinks reception he ramped it up a little with some classic Ibiza Chill to get your foot tapping. However, wait until the evening reception where he started with the full on club classics. So during the whole day, it was a gentle progression to the full on party.
The Finally
These guys certainly know how to throw a party, Scott had warned us most of the day that his friends were all a “dancy lot” and they didn’t disappoint. They were so keen to get on the dancefloor during 1st dance that they were all dancing around the edge. It was lovely to see so many people enjoying such an epic wedding. You guys pulled it off, what a day, a big shout out to Wyreside Hall for running so smoothly. If you’re looking for a Wyreside Hall Wedding Photographer then please get in touch.
